Is RenewSource Still Owned by the Nolt Family?
Yes. It all started back in 1988 when the Nolt family began serving the liquid waste management needs of local agricultural clients under the name Marlin M. Nolt. After years in the agricultural space, the Nolts saw an opportunity to help residential homeowners too—and they jumped in.
By 2005, Marlin and his sons decided to give the residential side its own identity. That’s when Septic Solutions was born. While the two companies operated separately, they were anything but distant—sharing trucks, office space, and even employees!
This setup worked well for us, but for customers? Not always. Calling one company and seeing a truck with another name show up on the job understandably raised questions. So, to make things simpler and clearer, we brought everything together.
In 2026, Marlin M. Nolt and Septic Solutions officially united under one name: RenewSource.
Why the Name RenewSource?
When it came time to choose a name for our united company, we wanted something that truly reflected our purpose and values. After a lot of thought, two words stood out.

This word speaks to our commitment to restoration and stewardship. Liquid waste management isn’t just about removing waste—it’s about handling it responsibly, safely, and in full compliance with regulations.
